Pippi collection dresses up with new fabrics

A new dress for Pippi: two new fabrics upholster a collection with a playful character and unique design and composed of a continuous tube on which a bi-elastic fabric runs and entirely upholsters the metal frame. Midj worked on the continuity of shape, material, and color to realize a simple yet original collection.

New Network fabric.

 

Research, innovation, and Italian know-how are the key to give softness to a notoriously hard material. The metal softens in a continuity of curves that join without making the welding points visible and the slender, finely padded structure is surprisingly soft. The colorful fabric that covers the tube and the fluidity of the shapes mark the distinctive design of the collection: it is the result of a challenge that translates the technical-design complexity into aesthetic simplicity.

UNIFORM MELANGE

High performance and versatile colors come together in a soft knit fabric, characterized by a natural effect and extravagant character. Each chromatic variant gently combines two different colored yarns, creating a refined and pleasant to the touch mélange.

NETWORK

A mesh weave gives depth to an intriguing fabric, that catches the eye thanks to an aesthetic played on the chromatic contrast between texture and yarn. The color palette, which ranges from sober to more eccentric shades, offers endless customization possibilities, for an always original style.

The collection

A collection with a unique design, that the designer Roberto Paoli has created to tell, together with Midj, the idea of contemporary living.

Pippi, composed of chair, armchair, lounge, two stools and a coat rack, was rewarded with a Good Design Award 2019 and a German Design Award 2021.
