Workshop Midj @ Pordenone Design Week
In the week from 19 to 23 March 2018 MIdj was at the helm of a workshop with the theme "A Contemporary Room" on the occasion of the VIIedition of Pordenone Design Week, an initiative that starts from the university campus of Pordenone and runs through local businesses to to favor the connection between University and the world of work.
The curtain on the Pordenone design week arose on Monday, March 19 with a speech by Midj's President, Paolo Vernier, in front of the audience of sixty students attending the Midj workshop to whom Midj's values and know-how were revealed. In the afternoon the guys were welcomed into the company to investigate the production from the design to the packaging of the products.
From Tuesday the students were impregnated with the explosion of the theme of the workshop "A contemporary room" that led them to discover the working space of the future: the home office and the co-working areas. During the activities a team of teachers and designers of Isia, together with strategic figures of the Midj team, have supported the creative processes of the young people in such a way as to recreate the true relationships between designer and producer during the implementation of a project.
The grand finale was held on Friday when the working groups presented the different projects born within the Pordenone Design Week. Midj's President, Paolo Vernier, took part in the work, together with the Operative Director Rudy Vernier and the Managing Director Vanni Pasutto.
The enthusiasm and creativity of young people are aspects that have always fascinated Midj and the hope is that in future collaborations of this kind can continue in order to consolidate and foster knowledge in the field of industrial design.
