Jacopo Maria Giagnoni
Design as passion and research aimed at creating spaces and objects that can connect to people's lives. The multidisciplinary and rigorous approach, sensitive to elegant forms, the nature of materials and function, always moves in search of a defined identity to be entrusted to places and products.
An award-winning architect, designer and art director, his work has been published in books and leading international magazines and shown in exhibitions and events including the Venice Biennale. He holds a PhD in Architectural and Urban Design from the University of Florence, where he lectured. Professor of Industrial and Interior Design at Accademia Italiana, visiting professor at many universities including the University of Parma, Nottingham Trent University, University of Wales, Iowa State University, Arcadia University, Guangdong University.
With Midj, Jacopo Maria Giagnoni designes the Dama desk collection, that has an industrial flavor and speaks a contemporary language. The project stems from the pursuit of an essential but original design, declined in the bar table and desk versions: two elements able to respect the same concept in distinct variants, which meet the most varied needs, from bistros to coworking spaces, to the home.
